Shopping for bridesmaid dresses can be a pretty stressful process for a bride. We offer assistance with this in our full planning package but it can still be a step brides loathe to think about. With all different body shapes, preferences and budgets it can be hard to land on a style everyone agrees on. Luckily these days it’s easier to accommodate your girls by allowing them to wear different styles, colors, textures and fabrics — a trend we happen to love. There are also a lot more affordable options on the market too and even companies that rent dresses like Vow To Be Chic.
Last year when Caitlin was preparing for her wedding she was a guest blogger on Style Me Pretty. She shared these tips for bridesmaid dress shopping:
Communicate Expectations :Set parameters up front (or have your Maid of Honor) about cost and style.
Make it Fun: Host a night for your bridal party and make it fun, brainstorm together and share your vision for the wedding.
Get Creative: Think about using different styles of the same fabric, mixing different colors or allowing the girls to purchase their own dresses (with your approval!)
